Preparing Our Hearts for the Presence of the King
Advent is a season of anticipation—a time when the church slows down to remember the longing, the promises, and the hope that led to the coming of Jesus Christ. It is a season shaped by waiting, but not an empty or uncertain waiting. It is the joyful expectation that God keeps His word, draws near to His people, and works redemption through the most unexpected means.
Each Advent Bible study is designed to help you enter this season with intentionality and devotion. Each week explores a different passage from the Gospel of Matthew, tracing the theme of “God With Us”—from the promises made to Abraham and David, to the worship of the nations, to God’s presence in suffering, and ultimately to the risen Christ who promises to be with His people to the end of the age.
